Jerk Chicken

Ingredients for 2 servings

  • 2 chicken breasts, about 1 pound
  • 1/4 cup jerk seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

To prepare the dish, start by mixing together the jerk seasoning, olive oil, lime juice, allspice, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and pepper in a small bowl. Rub the mixture all over the chicken breasts, making sure to coat them evenly.

Next, heat a large skillet over medium-high heat, and then add the chicken breasts. Cook them for 6-8 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit.

Once the chicken is cooked, remove it from the skillet and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing it into thin strips. Serve immediately, and enjoy!
